Martini Recipes - Lemondrop Martini Recipe

Martini Recipes - Lemondrop Martini Recipe

Martini Recipes - Lemondrop Martini Recipe

I would argue that a traditional martini is one of the manliest drinks out there. I mean, hell, it was Frank Sinatra’s drink of choice and you can’t get and more manly than him. Over the years, however, there have been many different kinds of martinis created with more sugar added which turned to be more, well, girlie. So for all you ladies, this recipe is for you.
There is no martini that goes down much smoother than the lemondrop martini. It’s sweet and sour at the same time. The garnish is fun, and you can drink them all night long. Warning Ladies! They go down super smooth so be careful!

Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Tito’s Vodka
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 tsp fine sugar
3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
Granulated sugar for dipping
lemon drop candies crushed fine for dipping
Twisted lemon peel
Ice

Instructions

In a shaker add 6-8 ice cubes, Vodka, Triple sec, fine sugar (put sugar in a blender if you don’t have fine baking sugar) and lemon juice.
Crush a couple lemon drop candies with the granulated sugar and put in a saucer dish for dipping the rim of your glasses in.
Gently shake the mixed up concoction as to not ruin or bruise the alchohol until the sugar has disolved.
Pour into martini glass and garnish with ribbons of lemon peel dipped into sugar mixture.
